Dr. P.A. Ibrahim, affectionately known as “Haji Sahib” or “Hajikka,” was a remarkable humanitarian entrepreneur who left an indelible mark on the lives of many. His enduring legacy is one of unwavering dedication to his principles and an unwavering commitment to serving both individuals and organizations.

Born in Pallikere, Kerala, on September 6, 1943, Ibrahim’s early life was marked by challenges, but his determination led him to complete his education, including a diploma in Automobile Engineering. Guided by his parents’ core values of discipline, honesty, kindness, and hard work, Ibrahim developed an inquisitive mind that drove him to understand every facet of life and trade.
 He did his schooling in Government College, Vidyanagar, Kasargod. He started his college education in Science in the University College, Mangalore and completed it with a Diploma in Automobile Engineering Business Management from Madras (Chennai).
In 1966, he embarked on a promising career in Dubai, working for notable companies like the British Motor Corporation and Al Hashar Automobiles. Yet, his inner calling pushed him to become a businessman who could make a difference in society. In 1976, he founded his first textile venture, alongside his partner, Mohammed Hussain Ali Al Shamali, and his dedication led him to become the Chairman of the Textiles Merchants Association (TEXMAS).

In 1984, Ibrahim, along with T.M. Nair, established Indus Motor Company, which has since become the largest dealer of Maruti Suzuki vehicles in India’s mid-market consumer vehicle sector. His business acumen also found an outlet in Malabar Gold & Diamonds, where he served as co-chairman, helping it become a global leader in gold and jewelry retail. He also played a significant role in the Malabar charitable trust, providing housing for the underprivileged and free medical aid.

In 1999, Dr. P.A. Ibrahim ventured into the world of education, founding the PACE Group. He believed that education should not merely impart knowledge but translate it into actions that benefit humanity. Today, PACE Group manages 20+ educational institutions, catering to over 30,000+ students from 80+ nationalities and providing a diverse range of subjects.

Despite his remarkable success, Ibrahim remained humble and actively involved in religious matters, immersing himself in the Holy Qur’an and maintaining a deep sense of gratitude. He saw his success as an opportunity to shoulder more responsibility towards society.

Dr. P.A. Ibrahim passed away on December 21, 2021, but his legacy endures through the enduring institutions he established. His charitable and educational initiatives continue to honor his vision in the UAE and India. His family, consisting of 10 members who shared his passion, continues to uphold the values he instilled. As a friend, mentor, father, and more, Dr. P.A. Ibrahim left an indelible impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him, remembered for his boundless wisdom and ever-charming smile.
